Summary of the role

The Content Manager is responsible for input into and delivery of the Content strategy across all 3 WTH brands, ensuring consistent delivery of brand personality, and customer centric and unique content.  This includes website, print, e-shot, SEO and SoMe copy, images, video footage, plus the development of unique content via our staff and customers.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Build a content strategy that matches our commercial plans and encourages customers to engage with our brands
  • Ensure that C118, Six Star cruises and River Voyages USPs and identity are adhered to in all campaigns across all communication channels
  • Deliver content (copy, video footage) for all marketing channels working closely with line manager and Digital Acquisition Manager
  • Be the link to Senior Designer to ensure images are in sync with rest of Content strategy
  • Supported by the Copywriter, write and upload content for company websites and blogs
  • Build internal links between pages in a structured manner that enhances SEO and user journeys, working with the SEO Manager
  • Work with colleagues to review website content and agree and implement a plan to overhaul and improve our website content
  • Use industry news and competitor analysis to research and prioritise content ideas
  • Use SEO tools (Google Analytics / Console / Adwords / Moz / Screaming Frog etc.) to identify opportunities to improve rankings for certain keywords and formulate plans to increase organic traffic
  • Work with wider marketing team to improve key metrics via sourcing of new content
  • Work with product and sale teams to generate unique cruise and destination content from all familiarization trips.
  • Ensure a simple and intuitive customer experience across all communication types both off and online.
  • Work across the business to come up with innovative campaign ideas that will:
    • Drive new to cruise
    • Drive interest in our products
    • Generate profitable sales

Skills and Experience

  • Impeccable written English
  • Awareness of and experience in using SEO content techniques e.g. keyword targeting, meeting search demand, featured snippets, meta data, H tags, image alt tags, keyword density, page layout, internal linking, user journey, call to action, social sharing
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise and delegate
  • Experience in and a passion for writing good quality persuasive content
  • Experience of working in the travel industry or a keen interest in travel is desirable.
  • Merchandising and ecommerce experience
  • Social media/user generated content experience.
  • Must enjoy working in a driven and high-pressure environment
